The Level 3 Certificate in Spectator Safety Supervision, accredited by NCFE, is designed to enhance the skills of individuals in supervisory roles within spectator safety environments.
This qualification prepares learners for positions such as Safety Steward Supervisor, Security Supervisor, Response Steward Supervisor, and Event Team Leader. The course includes theoretical learning, practical assessments, and specialized training modules, including counter-terrorism training.

This qualification aims to confirm occupational competence while equipping learners with the knowledge, skills, and understanding of spectator safety.

Course Contents
The Level 3 Certificate in Spectator Safety Supervision includes five mandatory units:
- Prepare stewards and venues for spectator events
- Manage and maintain stewarding in designated areas
- Manage information for action and decision-making for spectator events
- Develop and sustain productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Monitor and solve customer service problems
Progression
Learners could progress to:
- Level 3 Extended Certificate in Spectator Safety Supervision.
Successful completion of this qualification will confirm your competence in a number of job roles focused on spectator safety at events, including:
- Senior Steward
- Assistant Ground Safety Officer
